Description

Benefitting the Childrens' Miracle Network!

This is the 6th year for the Piney Woods Pro-Am! This year, TitleDISC will be lending a hand to help run the show. The Rose City Disc Club and Jerry Power are still very heavily involved, but some personal challenges have forced Jerry to step aside this year. We're more than happy to keep it going for 2009 so Jerry can come back in 2010 to an even bigger and badder event! We at TitleDISC will do everything we can to keep the same flavor and feel to the tournament. Rest assured, this is the same Piney Woods tournament that you know and love!

This year, the tournament is finally gaining A-tier status! With the addition of a new gold-level course named "Dogwood", Lindsey Park now has it all. Combined with the Hickory (Blue) and Cedar (Red) courses, we will have a total of 54 unique fairways in play for the A-tier half of this tournament! Please see the B-tier page for more information about courses played by that pool.

The format for the A-tier will be as follows: One round each of "Long Dogwood" and "Long Hickory" on Saturday, with one round each of "Short Dogwood and Long Cedar" on Sunday. The A-tier pools will play on courses separate from the B-tier pool. A-tier pools will be balanced based on attendance, but most likely the Advanced divisions will comprise one pool, with the Pro divisions making up the other. The layouts chosen for the A-tier are no joke! Bring every shot you have - you will need them.

The B-tier pool will be playing in the same complex as the A-tier pool, so ride sharing between pools will not be a big issue. Doubles will be held from 1:30pm until 5:00pm on Friday - BYOP. Doubles is unsanctioned, but the Singles event is a PDGA A-tier for all Pro and Advanced divisions. That means that you *must* be a current PDGA member in order to compete. PDGA renewals can be taken on Friday or before 8:00am on Saturday. If you are registered for the A-tier but are not current, you must renew *before* beginning competition. Refunds will not be given on Saturday morning, per the PDGA's guidelines.

All entries include the $4 PDGA fee and a $3 donation to the Childrens' Miracle Network. Get signed up today - only 144 spots are available in the A-tier pools!
