I'm still working on getting the kinks out of this new site, and one of those kinks has been a major one. I think it's now fixed. Until recently, many users were not able to receive email from this site. The main cause was a bug in PHP, for which I found a workaround.
If you registered for an account but did not receive your confirmation email, please request a new password so that you can log in. I'll also be going through at some point and sending new passwords to users who have never logged in, assuming that they did not receive the email... but I'm not ready for that yet.
